Having thoroughly assessed the asbestos market, Newcastle City Council has chosen Pectel, a Keltbray division, as their asbestos removal partner to assist them during the planned improvement works to in excess of five hundred properties over a four year period.
The term partnering project, due to commence in August 2010, is valued at Ł100,000 per annum and will include small minor works to pre demolition asbestos removal projects.
Scott Murray, director at Pectel, commented: "We are delighted to have been appointed as Newcastle City Councils partner and, as well as delivering substantial community benefits for the people of Newcastle; we will be part of a team providing a better environment to Newcastle’s residents. This is an important partnership for Pectel’s northern operation and it comes in line with the upcoming procurement of a new office in the heart of Newcastle."
