Remediation

Central to our approach is consideration of sustainability issues as per the ‘Sustainable Remediation Forum’ (SuRF UK) guidance.

We offer the following services:

  • Remediation design,
  • Waste classification and management,
  • Soil remediation (bioremediation, stabilisation and solidification, physical / chemical treatment and complex sorting);
  • Groundwater treatment (pump and treat, chemical oxidation, monitored natural attenuation, flow path management and permeable reactive barriers);
  • Dewatering / water management and treatment;
  • Construction of pile mats (including stabilised pile mats);
  • Cost effective management of piling and groundworks arisings;
  • Fully regulatory reporting and audit.

Key to successful delivery of complex projects is our in-house technical expertise, including scientists, chartered environmental and waste professionals, CL:AIRE CoP ‘Qualified Person(s)’ and former consultants. We have a track record for consistently overcoming in-ground challenges and have access to services and resources available from across the Group.

The elements of our approach to all brownfield projects are to:

  1. Fully understand and prioritise our clients aims and objectives;
  2. Offer robust, innovative and transparent methods;
  3. Champion value engineering and ‘whole project’ solutions; and
  4. Deliver fully approved projects within industry leading standards of environmental monitoring and control.

By employing our in-house expertise we engage with clients under a range of contract mechanisms including lump sum all risk, target cost, re-measurable or risk-sharing. All our services are backed by a suite of insurances and warranties as required and our Professional Indemnity insurance is £20 million as standard.

We carry our own Environment Agency approved Mobile Treatment Permit and operate Hazardous Waste Treatment facilities and large scale soil recovery sites, all served by our own plant and haulage fleet.

Fundamental to our offering is a straight-forward and open dialogue.  We seek to partner our clients in resolving potentially complex issues with the minimum of fuss or disruption to the primary project objectives.
