Esher 7 October 2015: Keltbray, which is a UK leading specialist business, which offers engineering, construction, demolition, decommissioning, remediation, rail and environmental services, has extended its portfolio of groundworks and geotechnical services by establishing a Sheet Piling venture led by Andy Appleton.

This means Keltbray is now able to offer a more versatile suite of piling solutions for a greater variety of ground conditions. Andy who has been appointed Managing Director for Keltbray Sheet Piling with immediate effect joins Keltbray from SPI Appleton Ltd. Prior to that, Andy ran his own, successful sheet piling business, Appleton Piling Ltd, which merged with SPI in 2012.

He is supported by a strong team with extensive experience in civil engineering and the specialist steel piling sector. About the new venture and his move to Keltbray, Andy said: “This is a great opportunity to offer sheet piling as an integral part of the Group’s portfolio, as well as a stand-alone service for external clients. Combined, this gives us great potential for growing this business into a nationwide venture.”

“Andy comes to us with extensive business experience and technical knowledge of the market and sheet piling techniques. We’re delighted to have him on board, and believe he has the capability to take our service offering to the next level and develop our increasingly comprehensive range of solutions nationwide, to meet the steel piling needs across the construction industry,” said Keltbray Group Managing Director, John Price.

Keltbray Sheet Piling will cover all aspects of driven steel piling, including; temporary and permanent works design, supply, installation and extraction of steel sheet piles, welded steel framing, anchors and other associated works, using Keltbray’s own modern and sustainable range of piling equipment. This includes silent and vibrationless hydraulic pile pressing equipment, versatile telescopic leader rigs with resonance free high frequency vibratory hammers and conventional hydraulic vibratory and impact hammers.

“Keltbray Sheet Piling will deliver high quality, cost effective, sustainable and innovative solutions on time in a safe and efficient manner. Our team has a proven history of tackling technically challenging projects in urban areas, and are experienced in working on infrastructure projects and on brownfield sites. Our unique offering is through the integration with Keltbray’s own engineering design consultancy, Wentworth House, Keltbray Piling and the other Keltbray Group services,” concluded Andy.
