Esher 5 October 2016: Keltbray Group, which is a UK leading specialist business that offers engineering, construction, demolition, decommissioning, remediation, rail, environmental services and reinforced concrete frame solutions, has climbed 76 places in the annual Sunday Times Grant Thornton 2016 Top Track 250 league table
Ranked 62nd overall on the back of its 25% increase in turnover for the financial year ending 31 October 2015, Keltbray has now broken into the top 70 private mid-market growth companies in Britain. This year’s ranking follows last year’s entry in 138th place.
About Keltbray’s ranking Group Chief Executive, Brendan Kerr said: “We are pleased with our improved positon in the market. This reflects our continued growth and the strengthening of our capability and services portfolio, which was recently extended to include a reinforced concrete frame business named Keltbray Structures. This means we can now provide demolition, groundworks, piling and concrete structures solutions as integrated or standalone services.
“Post-Brexit it is now crucial that the UK adopts a long-term vision for infrastructure, which takes into account airport capacity, high-speed rail and utilities, to unlock economic growth going forward. Keltbray invests more than £2 million every year in training and development to build our competence and expertise and be fit for future growth. However, it is also important that we continue this drive as a country, and make a concerted effort to reduce the number of young people who are not in work, education or training. They are an investment in the future, and key to plug the skills shortage gaps in our industry especially.
The Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 league table ranks Britain’s private mid-market growth companies with the biggest sales and is compiled by Fast Track; an Oxford-based research company: “These mid-sized businesses are such an integral part of the UK economy,” said Central and East Regional Managing Partner at Grant Thornton UK LLP, Malcolm Gomersall.
