Esher 29 November 2016: Keltbray Sheet Piling, which is part of Keltbray Group; a UK leading specialist business that offers engineering, construction, demolition, decommissioning, remediation, rail, environmental services and reinforced concrete frame solutions, has announced an expansion of its services to Scotland.
Keltbray Sheet Piling was first launched 12 months ago from its headquarters in Esher, Surrey. It has since gone from strength to strength under the leadership of Managing Director, Andy Appleton, and is now also operating from the Keltbray Structures offices in Bathgate, Scotland, as part of the planned business growth strategy.
The provision of driven steel piling services was a progressive expansion of Keltbray’s geotechnical services and Keltbray Sheet Piling is now well established in the market place; offering sheet piling as an integral part of the Group’s portfolio, as well as a stand-alone service for external clients.
“This combination allows us to provide a unique offering through the integration with Keltbray’s own engineering design consultancy, Wentworth House Partnership, Keltbray Structures, Keltbray Piling and the other Keltbray Group services. Our UK-wide offering now includes all aspects of driven steel piling, including; temporary and permanent works design, supply, installation and extraction of steel sheet piles, welded steel framing, anchors and other associated works,” Andy Appleton explained.
“Our intention was always to grow this business into a nationwide venture. We have now appointed a new Contract Manager, Jamie Miller to grow the business in Scotland, We also have plans to open an office in the north of England, in the new year, and offer a truly nationwide service,” he continued.
Thanks to considerable investment in new and modern equipment, Keltbray Sheet Piling is one of only six operators in the country that operates using the WP150 Stillworker. This is vibration-free and significantly reduces noise when installing or extracting sheet piles, and is ideal for use on contracts in inner-city areas, where environmental constraints and nearby neighbours are key considerations.
Keltbray Sheet Piling’s recent high profile works in central London, include works at Battersea Power Station. They have just been awarded the subcontract at Crindau Pill, Newport, to install approximately 17,000 square metres of sheet piling for Galliford Try on behalf of Natural Resources Wales.
