Esher 4 January 2017: In the company of 16 other industry figureheads, including the Housing Minister and Chairman for HS2, Construction News has identified Chief Executive of Keltbray Group, Brendan Kerr, as one of the leaders who will have the biggest impact on construction in 2017.

Keltbray had a big year in 2016, posting strong results and expanding its offering with the launch of Keltbray Structures and moving into Scotland. Brendan Kerr has overseen this growth and was recognised for his efforts by being inducted into the Construction News Roll of Honour in 2016.

According to Construction News, Keltbray’s rapid growth is catching the eye, and the acquisition of the Dunne Group assets ‘allows the specialist to offer demolition, groundworks, piling and structural frame all in one offering – where will it go next?’ asks Construction News, which is the UK’s leading publication for construction industry news.

Brendan, who first joined Keltbray in 1989 as Project Manager before rising to Operations Director in 1994 and Managing Director in 1999, has been Keltbray’s Chief Executive Officer since 2003. Since then, Brendan has taken what was a £22 million demolition company and developed it into a £360 million Group of specialist services.

This means Keltbray Group is now a UK leading specialist business, which offers engineering, construction, demolition, decommissioning, remediation, rail, environmental services and reinforced concrete frame solutions. Today, Keltbray employs more than 1,000 directly across the Group, while supporting many more through subcontracting; bringing the total closer to 2,000.
