22 March 2017: Keltbray Piling has won this year’s Construction News Specialist Ground Engineering Award. This coincides with the company’s eight-year anniversary, and is the first time Keltbray Piling has won this prestigious award.
Keltbray won the award in stiff competition with seven other shortlisted ground engineering companies, and was rewarded for its significant investment in raising standards, rolling out innovation and delivering state-of-the-art training.
In the 12 months covered by these submissions, Keltbray Piling has delivered all of its projects on time, and embraced the role of principal contractor on a number of schemes including at 150 Bishopsgate, London.
The firm’s focus on training is shown by the fact that it had 10 graduates on its books out of 50 permanent staff, with four out of 60 site staff on apprenticeships.
The business grew turnover by 30 per cent to £47m, also increasing profit substantially, and delivered its largest-ever piling contract at Battersea Power Station.
Keltbray was also Highly Commended in the Demolition category.
