Esher 3 August 2017: Keltbray Sheet Piling, which is part of Keltbray Group; a UK leading specialist business that offers engineering, construction, demolition, decommissioning, remediation, rail, environmental services and reinforced concrete frame solutions, has opened a new office in Preston Brook to meet increasing demand across the country for sheet piling to infrastructure works.
Working from the north west office, the company completed its first contract in Wales earlier this year; creating flood defences along the river bank in Crindau Pill, Newport, by installing 17,000 square metres of sheet piling for Natural Resources Wales, after successfully delivering contracts for the Environment Agency to provide river bank erosion protection in Northampton and Hensall.
The company opened an office in Bathgate in Scotland at the end of 2016, and has seen the business go from strength to strength north of the boarder; working with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) on contracts at Almondbank in Perth and at Huntly Flood Protection Scheme in Aberdeen, where Keltbray has installed sheet piles to act as flood defences and cut-off walls to prevent water seeping through proposed embankments.
“Sheet piling has long been used in the infrastructure sector; highways, flood alleviation, railways, water and sewage. Keltbray Sheet Piling has a modern fleet of plant and equipment backed by a forward thinking management team, now based in three offices nationwide, to offer sheet pile solutions to meet the increasing infrastructure requirement.
With the telescopic leader rigs and pile presses we are able to offer technically advanced schemes to meet strict environmental and access constraints in sensitive locations using silent and vibration free methods.
“On the back of our successful completion of a number of flood management solutions for clients across the country we have seen an increase in the demand for our expertise in this sector, and have decided to further expand our capacity geographically by opening a new office in Preston Brook, which will be strategically positioned for new opportunities in the midlands and the north of England,” explained Managing Director of Keltbray Sheet Piling, Andy Appleton.
“Going forward, we also plan to use this flood management capability as an opportunity to expand into other infrastructure work, such as highways, water and sewage works and urban basement construction,” Andy concluded.
