Keltbray Group; a leading UK specialist business that offers engineering, construction, demolition, decommissioning, remediation, rail, reinforced concrete structures and environmental services, today announced the appointment of Peter Burnside as new Group Financial Director.
Peter has been appointed to strengthen the senior management team and joins Keltbray from global accountancy and business advisory firm, BDO, where he was Managing Partner for BDO Northern Ireland.
Peter is based at Keltbray’s head office in Esher and is taking over the role previously held by John Keehan, who has been Keltbray’s Financial Director since 2005. This will leave John free to focus solely on his role at Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
“We are delighted to welcome Peter to Keltbray. He comes to us with a wealth of corporate finance experience, and we look forward to tapping into this as we continue to grow and diversify,” John said.
Peter will be responsible for financial reporting across the Group. He will also assume responsibilities for insurance, facilities and IT, as well as the management of Keltbray’s property portfolio.
About his new position, Peter said: “I have been involved in many complex restructurings and acquisitions and look forward to help bolster Keltbray’s expertise in this area, as we look into new development opportunities and grow as a Group.”
Peter is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
He is also a Fellow of the He Royal Geographical Society.
