The winning streak continues for Keltbray as as the Group has been awarded eight RoSPA awards in recognition of its practices and achievements in helping its staff get home safely at the end of the working day.

Keltbray won a Gold Fleet Safety award and was Commended in the Construction Commercial Industry Sector Award in the internationally-renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards, the longest-running industry awards scheme in the UK.  Gold awards were also given to Keltbray’s Sheet Piling, Rail and Piling businesses and Gold Medal awards were given to its Remediation, Environmental and Environmental Solutions businesses.

RoSPA is the Royal Society for the Protection of Accidents and its Health and Safety Awards have become the key fixture in the health and safety calendar, offering organisations a prime opportunity to prove their ongoing commitment to raising health and safety standards.

The awards receive entries from organisations around the world but in a glittering ceremony held on Tuesday 18 June, Keltbray outshone the competition.

To win the Gold Fleet Safety award, Keltbray successfully demonstrated excellence and improvement in how it manages occupational road risk. Entries were judged on a combination of verifiable historical performance data, along with evidence of an effective and cohesive programme for managing fleet risk.

The Construction Sector award recognises the organisations that have demonstrated the best health and safety management performance in the industry and Keltbray’s entry provided evidence of a consistently excellent and continuously improving performance as well as numerous initiatives and innovative approach to justify its selection as “best in sector”. This included the Behavioural awareness programmes, Keltbray’s extensive HSQE practices and the YSLT.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of qualifications, awards and events, said: “The RoSPA Awards have become the key fixture in the health and safety calendar with new sponsors and new awards this year including the Leisure Safety Awards, the Safe@Work Safe@Home Award and the Inspiration Awards. Highly-respected, with almost 2,000 entrants every year, RoSPA award winners benefit from the wide-ranging rewards of improved sector reputation.”

Competitive awards go to the best entries in 24 industry sectors including healthcare, transport and logistics, engineering, manufacturing and education.
