ScottishPower has recognised Keltbray Distribution and Transmission (KDT) at an awards ceremony hosted at its Glasgow HQ. The bi-annual ceremony celebrates the great and good among ScottishPower’s supply chain with awards presented across nine categories. Keltbray Aspire picked up the top prize for sustainability.
Tom Gloag, Project Manager on the V route collected the award on behalf of Keltbray. In the prologue speech before Tom went up to collect the award, the great work Keltbray does on Transmission and Distribution projects was mentioned, with it highlighted that this particular project was being delivered ahead of programme and to a very high standard both operationally and from an environmental impact perspective. The award was also recognition for aspects such as delivery, programme, customer care and safety.
The V route project is a major scheme being delivered over 2 years and involves the full refurbishment of a 70km 132kv Transmission line and has a value of circa £22m.
Charles Langan, Procurement and Insurance Director at ScottishPower, said: “We’re fortunate to work with some of the country’s best suppliers and it’s nice to be able to celebrate their support with our Suppliers Awards ceremony.
“Good suppliers are crucial to the success of a project so it’s only right that their excellent work is recognised in this way.
“They help us deliver the innovative work that creates a better future quicker for our customers.”
