Works have been progressing well at the £1bn regeneration of Purfleet-on-Thames. Keltbray officially started on site with Phase 1A of the project in March. The scheme will create 61 new spacious two, three and four bedroom homes close to the railway station, helping to address local housing need. Keltbray was appointed by PCRL to deliver the ground works for the first phase.

The initial phase also includes a new children’s play area and an orchard walk which will reinstate public access to Hollow Woods creating a gateway to the wider masterplan by connecting the new neighbourhood to the future new town centre and wider community spaces.

Four months on from arriving on the project, Keltbray is pleased to reveal that the site has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence from the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS), achieving a score of 43.

“The aim of the Scheme is to improve the image of construction. We achieve this by monitoring all registered sites, suggesting areas where improvements could be made and rewarding those who are performing at the highest levels”.
