Keltbray, a leading UK specialist engineering business, was recognised at an awards ceremony today, hosted by the Energy & Utilities Skills Partnership. Keltbray was one of 41 energy and utilities and supply chain companies that successfully passed their audits to win the coveted Procurement Skills Accord Awards for 2021/22.

The Procurement Skills Accord (PSA) is a national initiative from the Energy & Utilities Skills Partnership to encourage increased investment in targeted training and skills across the supply chain. In its fifth year, the initiative is supported by 50 signatories, and Keltbray is proud to be a signatory organisation, working collaboratively with the sector to drive investment in skills and make changes in procurement practises.

The awards were hosted by Phil Beach CBE, CEO of Energy & Utility Skills, and featured speaker Tim Balcon, Chief Executive of CITB. 41 companies were presented with an award for their pioneering efforts to transform investment in technical and operational skills.

Liam McMyler, Operations Director, Distribution & Transmission said, “I’m incredibly proud to accept this Procurement Skills Accord award on behalf of Keltbray. As an industry we are facing a number of challenges when it comes to ensuring we have a resilient, highly skilled workforce in place to deliver the critical programmes of the future. This award is recognition of Keltbray’s commitment to addressing these challenges and of the initiatives we have in place to ensure we play our part in building the workforce of the future.”
