CITY OF LONDON PRESENTS KELTBRAY WITH GOLD AWARDS FOR STANDARDS

Esher 18 May 2018: Keltbray Demolition & Civil Engineering, which is part of Keltbray Group, has been awarded its third Gold Award by the City of London’s Considerate Contractor Scheme for works at Bartholomew Close.

Keltbray has been engaged by Helical Bar on site since 2014, to demolish 19 buildings and is now constructing the reinforced concrete frame as part of the final phase of the 236-home development; working closing with the City of London highways team to safeguard traffic and pedestrians for construction over the public highway.

Keltbray’s Demolition & Civil Engineering team at 100 Liverpool Street was also presented with a Considerate Contractor Scheme Gold Award at this year’s awards ceremony, based on the overall performance on site.

“I would like to thank Keltbray for supporting the Considerate Contractor Scheme. These awards recognise that the scheme’s Code of Good Practice has been consistently exceeded at Bartholomew Close and 100 Liverpool Street, and reflect a spirit of pride, and awareness of the needs of the passing public and regards for the surrounding environment,” said Director of the Build Environment for The City of London Corporation, Carolyn Dwyer.

At 100 Liverpool Street Keltbray has been on site since Christmas 2016; working for Sir Robert McAlpine on a British Land mixed-use development; carrying out demolition over the top of live retail units surrounding the UK’s third-busiest station and right above thousands of City workers.

There to receive the awards, which were presented by The Right Honourable the Lord Mayor and Alderman Charles Bowman (pictured top right) at the Plaisterers Hall in London on 18 May, were Project Director for Bartholomew Close, Michael Devaney (pictured top picture, middle), and Contract Manager for 100 Liverpool Street, Sean Eels (pictured bottom left).
