Project Scope

The Rose Bowl redevelopment works are part of a £45m project to transform the Rose Bowl stadium and grounds into a world class sports and leisure facility.
Keltbray are the main contractors for the redesign, re-contouring and extension of the existing 9-hole golf course to provide a championship quality 18-hole golf course with many signature holes. This work also includes the re-routing of footpaths, a feature lake, vast areas of landscaping, seeding, planting and the design and construction of drainage works.
Keltbray began work in May 2011 with the initial construction of roadways, drainage, provision of temporary construction access across the site.
In total 3.6 million tonnes of material will be imported into the site for the landscaping and restoration and the grounds. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in 3 - 5 years.
Keltbray Environmental Ltd have set up a specialist soil treatment compound on the Rose Bowl Site in order to accept and treat stable non-reactive hazardous waste. This aims to improve the quality of soil being placed in the golf course and to provide a sustainable option for non-hazardous waste soil disposal in the local area.
