Esher 9 May 2018: In a record for the Group, Keltbray has won seven gold RoSPA awards spanning its businesses from piling to rail:
1. Keltbray Ltd. – Gold
2. Keltbray Aspire – Gold
3. Keltbray Rail – Gold
4. Keltbray Environmental Solutions – Gold
5. Keltbray Remediation – Gold
6. Keltbray Piling – Gold
7. Keltbray Sheet Piling – Gold
The award scheme, run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, recognises commitment to accident and ill health prevention, looking at accident records, health and safety management systems and practices such as leadership and workforce engagement. For Keltbray this clutch of awards is an improvement on last year, when the company won five gold and two silver awards.
While an overarching gold award was secured by Keltbray Ltd. for its health and safety performance, several of Keltbray’s individual business units also secured gold awards in their own right based on their evidence, which was judged against set criteria as specified by RoSPA; focusing on areas, such as leadership, engagement, occupational health, risk assessment, monitoring, investigation and communications.
Keltbray Aspire’s HSQE Project Manager James Brown said, “This criteria gave us an opportunity to present some of the good practice and innovation that Keltbray is delivering, for example; employee engagement sessions, the roll out of our occupational health programme, plant innovation days, our development programme and many more improvements.”
