Keltbray is one of the leading specialist providers of overhead line and sub-station services to the UK Distribution and Transmission market and are currently the longest running contractor working for NIE in Northern Ireland, this opportunity is essentially based in Northern Ireland with further opportunities across the UK, maintaining both the Distribution and Transmission overhead networks. Competitive weekly salary with all PPE and Equipment provided.

Overview

Due to the anticipated growth of Keltbray on the Northern Ireland Electricity contract, there is an excellent opportunity to enhance our site-based team. Successful candidates will be given full training (both internal and external) to meet the NIE Authorisation standards with additional training such as Emergency First Aid, MEWP Training and further NIE Authorisations. Successful candidates have the opportunity to progress through different roles within the company and will have a vast exposure to all tasks within the local contract.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the current staff to promote a high safety culture onsite
  • Engage in class based training
  • Engage in onsite training
  • Work as part of a team to maintain NIE’s Overhead Power Networks
  • Support the Team Leaders and Project Manager in completion of required checks e.g. Harness checks, Near Miss Reports etc.

Required Criteria

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Valid or previous NIE Training / Authorisations (other DNO’s also considered)
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Basic head for heights (Physically able to climb to the top of an Electricity Pole using climbing equipment)
  • Willing to work province wide and across the UK if required (to include availability for Storm / Fault work)

  • CSR / EU Skills Card

  • Trailer Towing Driving Licence
  • HGV Licence
