Salisbury Square – Asbestos Surveying & Removal

Façade retention designed alongside the permanent frame

Keltbray delivered a comprehensive asbestos surveying and removal programme at Salisbury Square, supporting one of the City of London's most significant regeneration schemes. The project formed a critical early phase of the wider redevelopment, preparing the site for demolition and future construction works.

The programme involved undertaking detailed Refurbishment and Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys across eight buildings of varying age, size and construction type. Located in the heart of the City of London, the project presented significant logistical and operational challenges. Surrounded by occupied commercial buildings, residential properties and busy public spaces, the works required careful planning, robust controls and effective stakeholder management throughout delivery.

The site was also positioned within a conservation area, combined with interfaces involving a Grade II listed building, added further complexity. Through its specialist expertise and safety-led approach, Keltbray successfully completed the asbestos remediation works, enabling the safe progression of the Salisbury Square redevelopment.
