Keltbray Lifting Services supported Skanska on The Smiths project, delivering specialist lifting oversight and technical input to facilitate safe, compliant lifting operations within a constrained central London environment.

The works involved providing lifting strategy support, lift plan development and review, and ongoing technical assurance to manage the complexities associated with restricted access, adjacent live properties, and multiple operational interfaces. 

Keltbray worked in close collaboration with the Skanska project team to embed robust lifting governance, ensure appropriate sequencing of operations, and maintain compliance with LOLER, PUWER, and the BS 7121 series. 

By applying a practical, risk-focused approach to lifting management, Keltbray Lifting Services helped Skanska maintain control of lifting activities, supporting efficient delivery while managing the heightened risks associated with a dense urban location.
