An engineering led approach

For us, engineering isn't just a discipline — it's how we think, how we solve problems and how we bring clarity to complexity. It shapes the way we listen, question and understand what a project really needs before we start looking for solutions.

Early engagement lets us connect design and delivery from day one, so the ideas we develop are buildable, safe and realistic. By keeping our engineering and delivery teams closely aligned, we carry the technical intent all the way to site — maintaining control, avoiding rework and staying true to the original purpose of the design.

Above all, our engineering led approach is about responsibility. It's about owning the challenge, understanding the detail and using our collective expertise to deliver solutions that stand up to scrutiny in some of the most demanding environments.

Our purpose

Our purpose is to redefine how sustainable development is delivered. We use deep engineering insight to tackle complex challenges, improve performance and manage risk in a way that protects people, places and long term value.

By engaging early, working openly and keeping delivery in our own hands, we create outcomes that are safer, more efficient and genuinely sustainable — solutions that stand up today and continue to perform tomorrow.

A sustainable business model

Our business model is built to stay resilient in demanding environments and to deliver results our clients can depend on. By self delivering key work packages, we manage risk where it matters most and keep control of quality, programme, safety and cost.

Backed by the commitment and agility of our people, we deliver consistent, reliable performance — creating value not just for clients, but for the communities and places our work supports.

1 Victoria Street

Commercial and mixed use · Mitsubishi Estate Property London and Stanhope PLC

1 Victoria Street was ready for renewal, and Keltbray approached its remodelling with a clear focus: retain value, minimise waste and give the building a responsible second life. Guided by circular economy principles, we looked for reuse opportunities at every turn — recovering thousands of floor tiles, dismantling nearly 2,000 windows and diverting more than 110 tonnes of glass into high quality recycling streams.

The structural transformation was carried out with the same care: lifts removed, floors taken down in sequence and the building sensitively opened for its next purpose.

More than 50,000 items — from furniture to fixtures — were donated to local community groups, creating direct social value. Partnerships like our closed loop recycling initiative with Saint Gobain ensured reclaimed materials were not only diverted from waste, but turned into new products.

“1 Victoria Street is a testament to the power of the circular economy. By working together, consultants and site teams have transformed this project into a model of sustainability. Not only are we reducing waste, but we're also ensuring valuable materials find new homes in the community, making the biggest possible impact.”

Environmental performance is built in, not bolted on. Material choices, methodologies, sequencing, logistics, and temporary works are engineered to reduce carbon, waste, and disruption from the outset.

Long term resilience and responsible delivery

We enable national resilience through low carbon energy, modern transport, and sustainable regeneration. Responsible procurement, transparent reporting, and strong governance protect ecosystems and communities.

Carbon reduction and whole life performance

We help clients meet net zero ambitions through design efficiency, low carbon materials, digital optimisation, and modern methods — improving whole life outcomes, not just construction phase metrics.

Community, social value and environmental stewardship

We create local opportunity — jobs, skills, and supply chain development — while protecting biodiversity and minimising disruption. Social value is measurable and lasting.

Hiperpile

A dual-use, low carbon foundation system incorporating thermal energy storage and exchange within its hollow core.

Our Hiperpile was awarded the 2025 ICE Brunel, recognising its transformative impact on low carbon foundation engineering. In addition to dramatically cutting embodied carbon in deep piled foundations, the Hiperpile turns foundation systems into energy enabled assets, reducing whole-life cost and carbon for our clients.

The Hiperpile has already been deployed on major schemes including HS2, Manchester Airport Terminal 2, Tottenham Hotspur hotel development and The Line, NEOM in Saudi Arabia, demonstrating its applicability and value across sectors and regions.

Technical information, sector specific case studies and funding models are at hiperenergy.com.
